To ensure that you can find the right mask for you, we offer a 60-night return option for all complete mask systems (cushions, frames, and headgear bought separately are excluded). If the mask is not a fit for you, simply contact Lofta within 60 days and request an RMA (return merchandise authorization). Once we receive your returned mask, we will issue a Lofta Store Credit. You will be responsible for return shipping through a shipper of your choice. We do ask that you return the mask in its original packaging or ziplock bag to prevent contamination. It is important to clean your mask interface, tubing and water chamber frequently to eliminate bacteria and germs that can lead to respiratory infections and other complications. While automated cleaning systems like the SoClean and Sleep8 are great products for everyday automated cleaning, you still should regularly clean your mask, tubing and water chamber with a clinical grade disinfectant such as Control III. How frequently you clean your CPAP supplies is a personal choice, but the importance of doing so regularly should not be underestimated.

Fitting a mask properly depends a great deal on your position. Facial muscles change when we lie down and relax even further once we’re asleep, so it’s always best to fit the mask while you’re in your sleeping position. Whether you sleep in a bed with no pillows or in a recliner, you should fit your mask in your usual sleeping position. Mask leak should not be ignored as any type of leak can compromise your ability to maintain positive pressure, which is an important aspect of therapy efficacy. It is imperative to replace your mask cushion often to ensure optimal therapy results even when it visibly may not appear to require replacement. Lofta suggests replacing your mask pillow or cushion every 30-days as a best practice. Many of our clients replace their entire mask and start fresh once or twice a year.

CPAP mask headgear and chin straps may become stretched and lose their elasticity, leading to over-tightening and discomfort. They can also trap bacteria from sweat and moisture. Your mask headgear should be replaced every 6 months. Yes. You should remember, though, that every mask has slightly different characteristics, so if you're using a ResMed device, you'll need to change the mask setting on the user menu when you switch masks. Always refer to the mask/devices compatibility test when changing mask settings on your device.

In most cases, yes, but if you're using a non-ResMed APAP or bilevel device, you may want to check with the manufacturer to ensure it doesn’t compromise your sleep apnea therapy. The technical specifications of the mask are provided for your clinician or equipment supplier to check that they are compatible with a CPAP or bilevel device. If used outside specification or with incompatible devices, the seal and comfort may not be optimal.
